Hunter Pope

Hunter Pope brings a wealth of legal expertise and a distinguished military background to Willoughby Humphrey & D’Antoni, P.A. With a dedication to delivering exceptional legal services, Hunter is committed to representing clients throughout South Carolina and elsewhere.

Prior to joining our firm, Hunter had the privilege of clerking for federal judges at both the trial and appellate level: The Honorable A. Marvin Quattlebuam, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and The Honorable Henry M. Herlong, Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. These invaluable experiences provided him with a deep understanding of the judicial process, honing his research and writing skills while furthering his legal acumen.

Before clerking, Hunter graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina School of Law and finished in the top five percent of his class. During his time in law school, Hunter served as the Fourth Circuit Editor for the South Carolina Law Review.  Before embarking on his legal career, Hunter graduated from The Citadel and served as an Army Ranger, including two combat deployments. His service exemplifies his unwavering commitment to honor, courage, and resilience in challenging environments. Through his military experience, he cultivated invaluable leadership skills, which he seamlessly incorporates into his legal practice. Hunter continues to serve today as a JAG (Judge Advocate General) Officer in the South Carolina Air National Guard.
